You will still register students for the Diploma and then when you submit for certification CGLI shld then match them to the units they have already achieved, you must ensure they keep the same CGLI number.

Subject: City & Guilds 6304 & 6305 - recognising prior learning
I’m having issues with fully certificating students for 6304 Certificate and 6305 Diploma in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector.
Although the scheme handbooks confirms that previously achieved Preparing for Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector and the Certificate are recognised as prior learning (RPL), there does not appear to be a procedure to claim or notify C&G of this RPL. In most case the students have been certificated with C&G for the lower qualifications previously.
Is anyone experiencing similar problems or discovered to claim RPL?
