Yes we use EDIFACT but all the data we input, and we only do registration files, no results files it just doesn’t work – but I would love to be able to do is import the base date, generate SRFs electronically for staff to complete electronically, import back in to ebs and generate an SRF submission to send to Edexcel.  It might be pie in the sky, but I have Edexcel coming in week after next and we’re going to look at it, and then I will attempt to ask for Tribal’s help.

 

I’ll let you know how I get on!!

I used it last year but we had to set the board type as GCE / GCSE in order to download the Basedata which caused problems when we came to input results in the Summer.  Basically we had to change the board type back to EDEXCEL/BTEC which Tribal said couldn’t be done.  But, our very industrious CIS manager managed to change it!

 

We don’t want or think we should have to take this route again as it’s obviously a Tribal issue.  I’m awaiting a response from them as I type!

 

If you use EDIFACT are you able to send your submissions via EDI?
