Hi
The reason for this is they have
the same name, so once you have imported the file you need to change the name
of it. All the BTEC files come in with your centre number as the name.

Hi Stephen
Yes you get the registration
numbers back but you have to be careful if you’ve submitted more than one EDI
file as the registration files sometimes ‘disappear’, for want of a better
expression, from the inbox if there’s more than one queued – I’m sure there’s a
way around this (it’s probably just my ineptitude!).

Lorna

Hi
We’ve always emailed our edi
files to BTECRACS and they send a registration numbers file back each time. If
you submit registrations for BTEC via A2C do you get the registration numbers
back as well?

Stephen

Hi Karen
It’s just as easy for the BTECs
and NVQs (we do ours via EDIFACT version EDI files) and yes you can request a
results file for mid-August that will include everything up until that point
(we’ve not cracked the import bit yet but that’s for this year!).

Hi
We use it for GCSE and GCE and
like it as it is easy to use. I didn’t realise until reading some of the
replies that you could use it for BTEC, is it easy to do the BTEC that way and
how do you do it and can you get the BTEC results that way too?
Sorry for all of the questions
but anything that is going to save time is welcome.
