Dear BALEAP members

I am very pleased to announce the programme (attached) for our forthcoming PIM on ‘Feedback in EAP’ at Oxford Brookes on Saturday 23 November.

Thank you very much to everyone who submitted proposals – we had a great response and are sorry not to be able to fit everyone in. You’ll see that we are running 6 sessions during the day in four strands – peer feedback, feedback for specific purposes, diverse forms of feedback and feedback and/with technology. In this way, we hope to guide delegates towards areas of interest, but please note that many of the sessions have a broader remit than these strand titles might suggest. We’ll put up the abstracts on our website in October to help delegates decide and on arrival at the PIM, we’ll ask you to sign up for your sessions. We have an exciting and informal plenary by Jane Sjoberg from the University of Birmingham to get the day started, so don’t miss it!

Delegates are invoiced by Dovetail, contactable via [log in to unmask]. Fees are £50 for presenters, £75 for BALEAP members who are not presenting, £100 for non-members who are not presenting.

The PIM will take place at Oxford Brookes Gipsy Lane Campus in Headington, Oxford. See the website link to a map of the campus. We will be in the Buckley building (labelled BU on the map), with lunch and some sessions in Abercrombie (labelled AB, just next to it). Car parking space is available, but please book it in advance through me. The train station is about 3 miles away, reachable by bus or taxi. Information about places to stay is available on the website - note that all accommodation in the vicinity of the campus is in the form of guesthouses.
