SENIOR LECTURER IN CREATIVE WRITING

Salary: $106,980 - $123,353 p.a plus 17% superannuation
The Creative Writing Program is located in the School of Culture & Communication, one of five Schools in the Faculty of Arts. The School hosts a range of complementary teaching programs including Cinema and Cultural Studies,
Gender Studies, English & Theatre Studies and Publishing. The Creative Writing discipline within the School of Culture & Communication has held a ranking of 4 (performance above world standard) in the last two ERA (Excellence in Research in Australia) evaluations.
Creative Writing offers a major in the BA, an Honours program, a coursework Masters (with Publishing), MA and PhD by research.
The program is currently seeking an experienced creative writing academic in the areas of writing for scripts, screen and/or digital media, who should have an advanced research profile in their field.
In this role you will have the opportunity to:
§ Plan and develop subjects, curriculum and teaching material
§ Act as a subject coordinator
§ Undertake supervisions for established writers and young scholars enrolled in PhD programs
§ Develop your research and professional profile
§ Take on a leadership role in the writing for screen and digital media space in terms of developing Masters level courses and partnerships with industry
