One year Full-time Musical Theatre course 2014 (Training)
Tuesday to Friday | 32 weeks | 21st January to 31st October 2014
This intensive new course is designed to further develop the students' triple threat skills, to enhance their work prospects and to ensure they have the knowledge and ability to market themselves effectively in a competitive industry. Students will have regular Dance, Acting and Singing classes working with highly experienced tutors who understand the demands of the business throughout the course.
In addition to regular classes, there will be career development seminars and each term we will work on a project designed to help the student's professional career and enable them to create work opportunities for themselves. Projects will include Cabaret - covering all aspects of devising a show - how to source material, hire venues, book musicians and sort rights as well as the rehearsal process; Producing a demo tape which can be used on web-sites, sent to agents and casting directors and generally used to promote their vocal talents and a Showcase performance staged in central London in front of agents, casting directors and other industry professionals.
The purpose of this course is to prepare students fully for the business, not just polishing their triple threat skills but guiding them in marketing themselves and creating work. This course is ideal for anyone who wants to further develop their skills and become a true all-round Musical Theatre performer. We are ever conscious that drama training is expensive for young people and this course will allow participants to work 3 days a week and in the evenings to ensure they have an income, without jeopardising the quality of their training. (There will be occasional evening workshops but advance notice will be given).
4 Month Musical Theatre Course 2014 (Professional Development)
Fridays and Sundays | 24th January to 11th May 2014
This very popular course is designed for experienced performers who want to refocus their career and hone their skills as a triple threat performer. Participants will work with a host of leading industry professionals and the diverse timetable will cover various topics such as auditions, pantomime, cabaret, marketing (CV's and Photos), casting, song repertoire and much more. The course culminates in a Professional Showcase performance in front of industry professionals, agents and casting directors.
