Two exciting opportunities have arisen in Milton Keynes for experienced Archivists. These are two separately contracted posts with individual Independent Charitable Trusts working together in a recognised partnership.
Post 1 - 0.5 FTE Archivist to deliver the exciting STACCess:MK project at Holne Chase Heritage Resource Centre, Bletchley.
Bletchley Park Trust Limited is looking to appoint an experienced archivist on behalf of the MK Heritage Consortium. You will be primarily based at the new Holne Chase Heritage Resource Centre, Bletchley, and the Centre for Buckinghamshire Studies, Aylesbury. This is a Heritage Lottery Funded project working with the Milton Keynes Heritage Consortium and Milton Keynes Council, to improve access to the local Collections.
Post 2 - 0.5 FTE MK City Discovery Centre Archivist based at Bradwell Abbey.
MK CDC is looking to appoint an experienced Archivist to catalogue, manage and develop the important New Town library and archive collections and assist in the day to day running of the archive / research library, supporting public access provision and educational services.
Due to the integrated nature of the posts, working together in partnership both organisations have agreed to hold joint interviews with one assessment panel. There is therefore the possibility that one person could be appointed to both contracted posts.
Both roles are fixed term for three years. The Salary for both posts is £22,221 pro rata 38 hours per week.
