Dear Ankita,

Not directly, as this would be an anatomical segmentation. SPM "only" does tissue class segmentations.

You could, however:
- use SPM to segment and normalise your MRIs into MNI space, use an appropriate (i.e. multi-subject / maximum probability) atlas in MNI space which contains hippocampus, and multiply with your subject's thresholded grey matter contribution (the latter is crucial as you will otherwise obtain the same - atlas - volume for every participant) - see e.g. the papers with PubMed ID PMID 17065593, PMID 18786637
- use SPM to derive the inverse transformation from MNI space to your individual MRI and back-transform an appropriate (i.e. multi-subject / maximum probability) atlas in MNI space which contains hippocampus back to your individual participant space, ± multiplication with the thresholded grey matter concentration - see e.g. PMID 11835607, 12874777, 23565180, 16860573 p. 120

Outside SPM, multi-atlas propagation and label fusion approaches are more accurate particularly when pathology is present (e.g. PMID 16860573, 17428687).

And finally, if you don't have that many subjects, learning how to segment a hippocampus manually will be a rewarding experience and will provide you with gold standard data (protocols e.g. in PMID 10963985, 12874777).

Hope this helps,

All the best,

Alexander
