Dear All, I am a visual artist based in North London. I am looking to acquire an antique (used) chalkboard for new body of work, which will culminate in an exhibition at Bermondsey Project, London. I was added to this list in the hope that someone reading may have a suitable chalkboard in their possession. Ideally, i would like a board of substantial size. I am aware that in most educational institutions, chalkboards have been replaced with digital 'smart boards' - but it is for this reason that i am interested in them. In my work i often make use of antique technologies. As such, i am keen to interact with the history of the chalkboard and it is therefore important that i find one that has been used. If you do not have anything suitable, perhaps you could put me in contact with someone would could help me in my search.
