Re: Epistemologically valid design theory.
Some August observations:
1. The locus of affordance of design outcomes is indeterminate in dynamic
social systems.
2. Design theory is best treated pragmatically as an open concept to be
evaluated for its usefulness and reliability rather than its epistemological
validity and justification.
3. Prediction: Theoretical archeologists will uncover design theory nestled
around the crossroads of epistemology and axiology.
