Audience Research and Evaluation workshops Brecknock Museum and Art Gallery - 10-September-2013 Chirk Castle - 12-September-2013 This course is provided by the Welsh Government. It is open to staff and volunteers working in museums in Wales. This course is suitable for museum employees and volunteers who are looking for an introduction to the Accreditation requirements for audience research and consultation. The course will also be suitable for those interested in audience consultation and evaluation more widely. Aim By the end of the course participants will have a better understanding of the Accreditation requirement for audience research and consultation and what their organisation needs to do to meet these requirements. Participants will also better understand how to plan audience research and evaluation and find out which tools are available and how to use them. Training Methods * Presentations (PowerPoint) * Pair / small group work and feedback * Larger group discussion * Handouts Preparation * Read the accreditation requirements 3.1.1 and 3.1.2 * Bring details about what you currently collect about your users and non-users, how and when to show with the rest of group. Trainer: Nicky Boyd Nicky is an experienced audience research and evaluation consultant with expertise in qualitative evaluation, techniques and processes, audience development and visitor studies. She has a background in collecting evidence from a wide range of audiences using a variety of data gathering tools.
