PAUL BUNGE PRIZE - HISTORY OF SCIENTIFIC INSTRUMENTS - 2014 
 
 
The German Chemical Society (Gesellschaft Deutscher Chemiker) invites
international applications for the Paul Bunge Prize 2014, awarded by the Hans
R. Jenemann Foundation, which is administered by the German Chemical Society
(Gesellschaft Deutscher Chemiker) and the German Bunsen Society for Physical
Chemistry (Deutsche Bunsen-Gesellschaft für Physikalische Chemie). The prize is
endowed with 7.500,- Euro and honours outstanding work published in German,
English or French in all fields of the history of scientific instruments. The
prize is named after Paul Bunge, the most important maker of analytical, assay
and high-performance precision balances in the second half of the nineteenth
century.
 
The award ceremony will take place on May 29, 2014, on the occasion of the
conference of the Deutsche Bunsengesellschaft für Physikalische Chemie in
Hamburg, Germany. 
 
Applications should include a curriculum vitae and a complete list of
publications; the work(s) to be considered for the prize should be submitted in
printed form. Nominations and applications must arrive by 30 September 2013 at
