The Winterbourne View Joint Improvement Programme was established by the Local Government Association and NHS England to provide leadership and support to transform services locally so that the services that are commissioned throughout people's lives are personalised, safe and local.

The post holder will work with and for a small team and the Joint Improvement Programme Board to develop and deliver a comprehensive, innovative and ambitious work programme to deliver the necessary change by 2015.

The post holder will have to demonstrate a commitment to the principles and values of the Joint Improvement Programme, including the need to work across social care and health and to involve people that use services and their family carers at every stage of the programme.
