GIS Analyst - Suffolk - £17-£22per hr - 12 Month Contract (3-4 days per week) One of Triad Resourcing's clients is offering an attractive contract for a duration of 12 months to cover an existing member of staff's absence. The role will be 3-4 days per week based out of their offices in Suffolk. As the clients GIS Analyst, you will manage the provision of GIS data for the company. You will be responsible for the daily GIS work, data management and supervision of several GIS staff in relation to a variety of projects in the offshore renewables, sub-sea cables, oil and gas industries in the UK and Europe. Your tasks will include but not limited to: information and data collection; spatial analysis of data; production of documentation such as charts, spreadsheets and data files. Maintaining databases of statistics, fleet compositions and satellite tracking as well as survey, ecological, hydrospatial, VMS. You will ensure that all spatial data is collected, quality checked, structured and recorded in the relevant file geodatabase. Skills Degree qualified in GIS or deemed equivalent experience Good understanding of mapping principles, coordinate systems and projections Knowledge of Microsoft Office is essential Excellent literacy skills Meticulous in attention to detail Efficient, well organized and capable of working to tight deadlines Ability to work unsupervised Ability to supervise Ability to work well in a team Excellent IT and problem solving skills Good eye for clear and logical presentation of data You should be Highly self-motivated Thorough and methodical Be able to prioritise and organise tasks Calm under pressure and be versatile and flexible You will possess excellent communication skills being able to convey clear and concise information in both written and verbal format to staff, clients and third parties alike. Further to this, you will be capable of taking instruction from stakeholders and producing high quality work, even when under pressure. You will be able to work in a team or independently being able to prioritise and manage your own time in line with the changing needs of the business. You will have an eye for detail and be able to show initiative to problem solving. Due to nature of business and role, you will be expected to be flexible with your time and duties.
