*** GIS Technician *** £30 p/h *** 12 Month Contract *** International infrastructure engineering group seek GIS Technican to join their Reading based office. About the GIS Technician Role To work within a team to provide Technical Support on Water projects to ensure accurate and efficient project delivery for internal and external clients. GIS Technician includes ESRI/ArcGIS support on asset management projects including detailed technical analysis of condition and performance of infrastructure and non-infrastructure assets, and outlining suitable technical solutions. The GIS Technician role is a client facing position. About You To succeed in this role you'll need strong knowledge and experience of report production and ESRI / ArcGIS, as well as working knowledge of clean water networks. You will have a HND / HNC in an appropriate discipline or A Levels in appropriate subjects. Competent with GIS packages, including ESRI/ArcGIS (network Tracing), MapInfo. Competent with MS Office Suite, especially Access. Must have ArcGIS 10 experience!
