Hello Ty,
This sounds like a problem with the Safe HTML Filter; I had a similar problem yesterday. I checked the error ID for us in the bb-services.log and it referenced
the Safe HTML Filter. Support suggested setting the XSS Filter Building Block to Inactive and the Available again; this fixed it for us. Does that help on your system? We’re also running SP13.

Dear all,
I am hoping someone has some ideas, as I have had a support call open since Monday
Since upgrading to sp13 (we are managed hosted) on Sunday, we have had a few issues.
Mainly we can't post links within the content editor, this includes any Items with links in them or items with mashups in the content editor.
the error message says - The extension target is invalid. Please get a new instance of the extension from the extension framework.
For reference, the Error ID is 858b98d8-a528-4775-b787-0b83638720c4.

I have tried many things, including testing with SSL on / off
The YouTube mashup works just fine from the Build content (unless a add a random link into the content editor). Any even the preview works fine before submitting from an item.
Items with just text in the content editor, work fine.
The Web Links from Build Content work.
Any thoughts, or similar issues much appreciated
