Hi Karen,
We have recently started using them in the community. In fact I contacted one of the midwives at Homerton as they have previously used them. They cannot be interfaced as far as I am aware.
We are using the draeger meter and using the NICE guidance. As their use is better than visual inspection and a number of studies have shown their usefulness we were happy to support their implemention. There is a clinical protocol and audit sheet which the
midwives are using.
Kind regards,

Subject: Transcutaneous Bilimeters
Hi
Our post-natal ward are thinking of implementing transcutaneous bilimeters to follow the NICE Neonatal Jaundice recommendations.
Is anyone using them and if yes what are the meters in use and what are your opinions of them? Are they able to be interfaced? (I would like POCT kit to be able
to be interfaced to the EPR where possible).
Many thanks.
Kind regards
Karen
