Hi Natalie

We use the Signature+ from Hemochron. There are two types of cartridge ACT-LR and ACT+ depending on what your target range is. NEQAS produce EQA for ACT+ but not the LR (low range) variety.

Best wishes

Emma

Hi Natalie,

We have an ACT Plus analyser from medtronic.....

Liquid QC is available as well as an optional electronic QC module.

I'm not aware of any EQA scheme to support ACT testing?

Subject: IL ACT analyser

Dear All,

Recently our Trust has opened a Cardiac Cath Lab and we will soon be performing more complex procedures on site.  Our Cath Lab staff will be using an IL ACT analyser and although we have been involved from the beginning of their processes we are inexperienced in this particular area.  We'd be interested to hear from anyone who could pass on their wisdom to us, any common pitfalls or problems etc.  Also what do people do for EQA/IQC on these systems?

Many thanks

Natalie
