In addition, you will establish a collaborative and co-operative relationship with colleagues, education providers and other research communities to develop education practice in a specialist area of social work practice.

You must have excellent knowledge of the complexities of decision-making in social work in relation to the changing context of practice and service delivery, coupled with experience of working in social work environments and with external agencies to develop social work policy and practice.

You must have expert knowledge of the complexities of practice and be able to develop and disseminate knowledge to a level commensurate with an international contribution to the field, achieving this through externally funded research activity and publications. Working in the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences you will contribute to the design and delivery of specialist education in social work programmes, interdisciplinary learning and scholarly activity in relation to Social Work practice; this will include working with a range of internal and external stakeholders and partners. In addition, you will undertake research which underpins teaching quality and contributes to the research profile of the Faculty. You will also provide support for students and colleagues across the university and in practice settings in the community.

You must possess specialist knowledge of Social Work practice particularly in relation to safeguarding adults/children, and/or working in communities including service users and carers. You should be a qualified social worker, educated to Masters degree(or equivalent) and either be PhD qualified or working towards/willing to undertake doctoral studies. You will also have experience of working in partnership with other disciplines and professions.
