Hello Ali,

Thank you for meeting with me today. I have attached the photos of the mystery item.

I have just spoken with my grandpa and he said he found it in the 1970’s, whilst working on a fire damaged cottage in a place called flecknoe, Warwickshire.

The building it was found in was called the Old Oak House (build in the 17th Century) which was situated near an old English Saxon Settlement.

To his knowledge, the building was at some point a Pub. Upon renovation he found it in a wall of mud, wattle and dorb. The owner of the property was an Antique Dealer named Ray Cave.

My grandpa believes it is a Brass Casement and the dice could be ivory.

If there is anything I can help with in finding the answer as to what this is, please let me know.
