Apologies, Ted, and the rest. I even forgot to sign the ruddy comment. Here is the direct link to IDS's own piece.

Subject: Re: comments about IDS from an unlikely source
After some groping in my browser's bottom drawer, I have located a
link to what appears (by virtue of the number of removed comments)
to be what is referred to below:

Best wishes to all,
Ted.

 Hi all,

IDS has just praised his own achievements in the Guardian. But these
comments are about the Guardian's response to these comments among
comments about a cartoon by Martin Rowson. It goes without saying that
every comment I read on IDS's piece was negative, some extremely so and
 many incredibly articulate.

Here are responses to the Guardian concerning it apparently closing the
comments before time and removing some. I should point out that while
there were 5 pages of comments, the number was only 357, not a large
number by certain standards. No doubt some of the removals were carried
out due to their inappropriateness. But this doesn't explain all G's
actions with respect to this piece.

 Nice toon but...

We are all in the Matrix.
Comments stopped on IDS article and ability to recommend the excellent
 postings there also disabled.
We can selective comment but not when we as a huge majority disagree
with an ATL writer or with the Guardian's decision to allow him print
 space.

A crime against a disabled person is a crime against all of us. Open the
comments now Guardian and stop aiding and abetting the enemies of the
 disabled

Yes I noticed that---IDS article started at 6.14pm--
was closed before 10pm--- also a lot of comments
 removed.

the depth of feeling against this man was undeniable--- it leapt
out at you from the unanimous verdict of the comments---
Was there a complaint from up above?
