It isn't that long until the British Science Association holds its annual festival, with loads of schoolkids roped in for out of class activities.

Newcastle this year.

Maybe there is something on the agenda there.

FASCINATED BY FOOD?

If the organisers don't mind gatecrashers.

Subject: [PSCI-COM] Food Security debate kits - where to distribute?

Hi psci-commers,

Our most recent Debate Kit is on the topic of Food Security, commissioned by the Global Food Security programme. As well as sending them out to secondary school teachers who'd requested them round the UK, we printed extra hard copies for anyone else interested in sparking debate around the topic.

Has anyone got any advice on where to distribute them?

They're centred around the question "should our school only buy food produced in the UK?" and get students thinking about just how complex the issues and ethics of global food security & food production are.

More info at http://debate.imascientist.org.uk/ if you're curious.

Reply off list so not to clog up inboxes!
