Colleagues, Stephanie Taylor has decided to resign from her role as one of three list owners for LIS-PUB-LIBS due to a change in her circumstances. Can I take this opportunity to publicly thank Stephanie on behalf of the list membership for her services and support over a number of years. For the time being, the remaining list owners are Vanessa Jones and myself. If you wish to volunteer your services in the role of list owner for LIS-PUB-LIBS please email [log in to unmask] with expressions of interest before the end of August. The task involves providing basic support to list users, particularly around list registration and cancellation of subscriptions, and occasionally responding to comments or complaints from list members. The role doesn't take up much time and really isn't a burden. Candidates working towards MCLIP should find the role provides an excellent opportunity to engage with and support the wider profession, and so it may be of particular interest to you if this is something you're currently doing.
