Library and Knowledge Services (LKS) are an integral part of the core business of the NHS. They enable staff to have the relevant skills and knowledge to make evidence based decisions, resulting in excellent patient care. LKS offer a unique service to commissioners that complement and build on the work of other commissioning support units (CSUs) to provide comprehensive business intelligence.

Step 2: Sign up for an NHS Athens account use your NHS Athens account to access a wide variety of electronic resource.
Step 3: Search for national, regional and local electronic content at NICE Evidence Services and on theHealthcare Databases Advanced Search pages.

A group of librarians are currently working to migrate the Commissioning Handbook for Librarians http://commissioning.pbworks.com/ onto a Word Press platform and updating the contents watch out for it in the autumn.
