I was under the impression that the original query was about epub ahead of print articles rather than supplying ILLs from e-journal subscriptions. If so, I would also be interested to find out how some libraries have access to epubs. Do you pay a higher subscription for your ejournals?

Hi Liz
We have a small number of online subscriptions, in most cases we are able to supply articles for interlibrary loan purposes but not in electronic format, we usually have to print and send – it all depends on the licence.
Regards
Paula.

Subject: epub requests - do you supply?
Having seen the recent epub request I wondered 1) how many libraries have access to epubs? And 2) can you supply epubs to other libraries? Our library does not subscribe to any epubs and it can be difficult explaining the difference between an epub and a published online article to users. Suggesting they wait a few months for it to appear in "print" doesn't always go down well.
Regards,
Liz
