Hi Steve,

When you "unlikely to be successful", will MELODIC crash or produce spurious results? I've seen one paper use a spatially-restriced ICA using PCC/precunueus as an ROI. If someone is attempting a similar analysis, is there a lower limit for the number of voxels (e.g., voxels > time points?)? Or, are the any red flags to indicate that the analysis produced invalid results due to insufficient number of voxels?

Thanks,
David

Hi - in general, no, spatial ICA needs a large number of voxels to work - so this is unlikely to be successful.
Cheers.

Hello FSL users,

I would like to know if it is possible to run ICA on a ROI using FSL. I mean running ICA only in the ROI area?

Best Regards,
Jake
