MSc Clinical Trials by Online Distance Learning
 
The University of Edinburgh, Edinburgh Wellcome Trust Clinical Research Facility and the Edinburgh Clinical 
Trials Unit is launching a MSc in Clinical Trials on the 16th September 2013.
This is the first online programme encompassing the complete methodology of 
clinical trials. Through a virtual learning environment, students can 
engage with peers from around the world and gain a broad perspective on 
the discipline. They will also learn about the latest developments 
through video lectures, podcasts and readings.
There are three options:
	* Certificate level - Compulsory courses including Introduction to Clinical Trials 
and Good Clinical Practice, Ethics and Regulatory Issues. In addition 
there are a range of optional courses such as Translational 
Pharmacology, Clinical Trial Management, Health Economics, and 
Statistical Aspects of Clinical Trials 
	* Diploma level - choose from the extensive list of courses. 
	* Masters level – includes the production of a Clinical Trials e-Portfolio, which will include three components of written work.
