Dear colleague,

we believe that is important to connect Open Research and Open Education:
Thus, we have started together a joint initiative with the working title ICORE, with already more than 200 members now:
Thank you very much for your interest in ICORE!
We are very pleased about all the mainly positive feedbacks that we have received on our initiative!

Please find attached:
(1) the final version of the 1st ICORE meeting minutes that took place on 2013-05-15 in Rome,
(2) the presentation about the main results of this meeting hold at LINQ 2013.

Today, we would like to announce the first virtual ICORE online meeting:
The first virtual ICORE online meeting will take place on Tuesday, 30th of July 2013!

To allow participation of all interested parties worldwide, we will have two online meetings on 30th of July 2013 with following starting times:
08:00am UTC and 16:00 UTC (UTC = Coordinated Universal Time)

08:00 UTC means for the different time zones:

The topics to be discussed will be:

·         Discussion on ICORE connection between Open Research and Open Education

·         Discussion on ICORE promotional possibilities of Open Research and Open Education

·         Discussion on legal status, name, organisational structure and future cooperation with other associations such as OCW Consortium and UNESCO, also identified as important by all participants (organisational issues)

As the meeting will be open for everybody, please inform and invite relevant and interested stakeholders and colleagues.
