Search Room Assistant (Fixed Term)

The Special Collections department of Durham University Library administers exceptionally rich and varied collections, medieval to modern, including manuscripts, archives, books, maps, prints and photographs. The post, which is fixed term for 12 months but with the possibility of extension for a further 12 months, supports access to these important research collections and offers practical experience of archives work appropriate for a graduate hoping to do a postgraduate archives course. On the job training on the many different aspects of the work of a special collections department will be given.
