Online? Or classroom? Or both? Your responses are solicited.

For practitioners (degrees in hand), a further question is whether to
take courses via an established physical plant where layers of
administrators pocket the majority of the registration fee or an online
site where the instructors get at least 70% of the course fee.

Online only offers an advantage (and it is a deal-breaker) if the course
participant can interact with the instructor. Can you ask questions? Ask
for clarification? If not, the course participant might just as well be
sitting in the back-up classroom of a mega university watching the
instructor via the telly.

Full disclosure: The proposer of this topic for discussion, author of
“A-Z of Error-Free Research,” is an instructor at
http://statcourse.com and his courses have been online and interactive
for the past eight years.
