Dear ALLSTAT, * Jessica Todd at CK Clinical * Research Associate- Respiratory Translational Biology * South East * Pharmaceutical * Contract Your main responsibilities will be to: * To analyse and integrate microarray and RNAseq data with clinical information to identify molecular networks that are associated with disease status and progression. * Genetic and genomic data from the public domain will also be overlayed to enhance the molecular networks. You are required to have the following qualifications, skills and experience: * A BSc with strong experience in bioinformatics-based research gained in an academic or industrial setting. * An MSc (or equivalent) in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Biostatistics, or a related discipline. * A background or interest in computational biology and biostatistics * Experience working with or exposure to next generation RNA sequencing data * An ability to perform complex analyses in a time sensitive fashion * An ability to adopt and implement methods for analysis of RNA next generation data * Experience with or exposure to common databases and genome browsers (e.g. IGV, UCSC, Reactome, KEGG, etc.) * Prior experience within an industrial setting (pharma/biotech) is not a pre-requisite but would be an advantage * In particular the ideal candidate will be experienced with using the following software packages: R, Bioconductor, Partek, Gene Set Enrichment Analysis (GSEA), Spotfire * The successful candidate should have excellent organisational, communication and presentation skills, enthusiasm, drive and the ability to form strong working relationships within a multi-disciplinary team.
