Palmerston Association is a large respected non for profit service providing counselling and support for individuals, families and the wider community affected by alcohol and other drug use problems in the community and in a residential setting.

 

We are seeking a part time senior counsellor for our residential Therapeutic Community (TC) (Palmerston Farm).

 

The TC offers 32 places for adults and operates on a community model emphasising personal growth and self responsibility. It is located on a tranquil, welcoming semi rural property.

 

Possessing a high level of clinical knowledge and skills with experience in the alcohol and drug field, the senior counsellor's role is to provide clinical leadership and support to the branch clinical team and assist the coordinator in delegated line management activities. Applicants must be able to work within a multidisciplinary team environment. Experience working with Aboriginal clients would be desirable.

 

The conditions of employment are attractive and include generous salary packaging benefits. The salary range is $65,415 to $69,894 pro rata (plus superannuation).
