He used to tell them to go get a life (actually it was probably a nicer string of words to that effect!) ... On a serious note, I have seen loads of people that would fit this description, (I think we all have?)undoubtedly adversely affected by their view on life and work, all on SSRIs, some for years, been through all traditional approaches inc CBT, none responding that well to said Txs as their "situation" (work or domestic) remains the same and unlikely to change through circumstances, inertia, apathy or the notion of having "no choice". I’d have to agree that whilst some people are likely to become embittered I am not sure that you can put it in the same category as depression and anxiety and actually call it a condition….
