On Tuesday, 25 June, at 7 pm, Dr Anna Marie Roos of the University of Lincoln will be giving a public lecture "Virtuoso Naturalist" at the Museum of the History of Science, University of Oxford

Natural history was one of the many interests that could catch the curious eye of a 17th-century intellectual and physician.

Roos, biographer of just such a virtuoso figure, Martin Lister, will talk about his life and science, and the recent discoveries that she has made about him in Oxford.  The lecture is part of a series of events for the museum's new exhibit: Natural Histories.  For more information about the exhibit, and the lecture, please see:  http://www.mhs.ox.ac.uk/naturalhistories/Events
