medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
I seem to remember that it's an insult Jean Calvin flung at scholastic theologians. It's certainly not a question I've ever seen discussed by an actual medieval theological text.

Dear Colleagues

I would be grateful for suggestions as to where the famous question 'how many angels dance on the head of the pin?' comes from.

More generally I would appreciate your suggestions on sources for the study of dance in the Bible and in the late Middle Ages?

Thanking you in advance.
Buona Domenica
