Sorry for the confusion – bit more detail for you for the question below.

The context is medium secure psychiatric units/hospitals. And the staff involved are those involved in managing/restraining patients who have violent or aggressive behaviour. Whether other mental health care Trusts have used ex service users’ experiences in this area?

Good morning,

I wonder if anyone can help. I have been asked to carry out a literature review for a member of staff.

The question is: “I want to find out if any other Trusts/areas are utilising service users/ex service users in violence reduction/conflict resolution – particularly in physical restraint – and if there is evidence that this approach is more effective as a way of de-escalation  or management of violence and aggression?”

Much appreciate any help on this one.
