Thanks, that is indeed helpful. Will be summarising everyone's responses in due course.

Hi Helga - Ask Nick Smith from Worcester who is heavily involved. We tried promoting it and liaising with the PCT, but not much response. But the pain team have liaised with PCT to develop the guidelines. The library service wasn't involved. Sorry, not much help to you...

[usual apologies re. cross-posting, relevance etc.]

I have lots of questions regarding LOCAL implementation of MAP OF MEDICINE for clinical guidelines, so hit delete if this doesn't apply to you. Alternatively, please forward to more appropriate lists if you are on any.

Are any of you out there involved with using Map of Medicine at a local level in the production and dissemination of clinical guidelines within your organisation(s)?
If so, we'd be interested in any feedback (positive or negative) on your experiences, extent of library service involvement, responsibility/accountability, editorial control, linking Map of Medicine with institutional document repositories, etc.
If there is local Map of Medicine content available to your users but library services are not involved, who puts it on there?
Are there any instances where the library service is the official local Map of Medicine lead?
Does it make a difference whether access to Map of Medicine is via Athens or smart card? (We have Athens access)

Many thanks,
Helga
