Expanding Horizons of Teaching and Learning; Developing New and Innovative Practices

WHERE: The Exchange, Tremough Campus, Falmouth University, Cornwall, UK
WHEN: Thursday 12th September 2013. 9am – 5pm
WHAT: The theme will be the impact of the changing HE environment on current practice in arts-based subjects with reference to the following key drivers:
•	Increase in Open Education Resources
•	Changes to Education Technology
•	Desire for Multidisciplinary Working
•	Emphasis on Curriculum Co-creation: students as colleagues
•	Need to Innovate and find New Approaches to Encourage Creativity
•	Diversity in the Classroom
The conference will be experiential, interactive and participatory (so not a traditional research conference) and the audience will be comprised of academics, practitioners and education specialists from around the world.
The keynote speaker will be Professor John Portelli, University of Toronto, Ontario Institute for Studies in Education, on the theme of ‘Expanding the Student Experience.’
