Dear colleagues,

I sit on the Mental Psychological and Occupational Health panel of the HTA.
We have a number of roles in helping research get funded within the HTA
system.

As it happens, I have been asked to put forward topics for the panel
meeting in July. What topics do you think could or should get funded?

I cannot guarantee a hearing for any of them, but if you feel able to put
forward a topic that is appropriate for the panel please get in touch. I
would ask you to think in terms of four initial headings: Patient group
Intervention Comparator Outcome

I would also appreciate a sentence or two about why the proposed research
is important for the NHS.

I do not know about the SSCR programme mentioned by Glynis.

One further comment: is the rate of failure of ID proposals greater or less
than that for other specialties? Does anyone know?
