Introduction to the Wealth and Assets Survey

The Wealth and Assets Survey (WAS) is a longitudinal survey, which aims to address gaps identified in data about the economic well-being of households by gathering information
on level of assets, savings and debt; saving for retirement; how wealth is distributed among households or individuals; and factors that affect financial planning.
This free to attend meeting, organised by the UK Data Service, is an opportunity for users of the Wealth and Assets Survey to meet with the production team from the Office
for National Statistics and key users from policy departments to learn about recent developments and to discuss and influence upcoming developments to the survey. In addition, presentations of work from some data users will be given, demonstrating the potential
uses of this survey, including:
How the wealth and assets survey contributed to the understanding of the economic outcomes of different groups of people

Family Resources Survey user meeting

The Family Resources Survey (FRS) is a continuous survey to meet the information requirements of Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) analysts. The survey aims to: support
the monitoring of the social security programme; support the costing and modelling of changes to national insurance contributions and social security benefits; and provide better information for the forecasting of benefit expenditure
This free half-day meeting will provide a forum for the exchange of information and views between users and producers of the Family Resources Survey. It is aimed primarily
at users and potential users of survey microdata. The first session will include updates on the survey and the second session will consist of research papers based on the survey, including:
