Graduate School of Social Sciences at Middle East Technical University
(METU) in collaboration with International Political Science Association
(IPSA) is organizing Summer School for Social Science Research Methods to
be held at METU, 9-20 September 2013. The first program of its kind in
Turkey and its neighborhood, the Summer School will bring together
prominent international scholars as well as METU faculty to offer PhD
students, early career academics and professionals cutting edge qualitative
and quantitative social science research methods over a period of two
weeks. Organized in Ankara, the school will contribute to the development
of research networks and raising of the research standards in the nearby
regions. The school will also provide ample opportunity to discuss career
issues such as publishing and applying for research projects. Participants
will apply to one course among the six courses on offer as the courses are
full time courses, half of the day allocated for lectures and the second
half allocated for study sessions and lab work.
