The Chesshire Lehmann Fund is offering to support the cost for two Masters or PhD students/researchers to attend NEA’s 2013 Conference on the 16-18 September in Harrogate.

 

Supported by ScottishPower, the NEA Annual Conference is the must-attend event for anyone concerned with fuel poverty reduction or improving the energy efficiency of low-income households. The programme will focus on the following key areas/themes:

 

  • Green Deal and Energy Company Obligation
  • Welfare reform
  • Governance, leadership, and changing roles and responsibilities
  • Behavioural change and community engagement
  • Health

 

Presentations by leading experts in these fields will be supported by interactive workshops to enable delegates to explore the issues further, identify barriers and solutions to tackling fuel poverty and share examples of best-practice. Running alongside the conference will be an exhibition of products and services from some of the leading names in the energy industry. The programme is currently being finalised and more details will be available soon on the NEA website at www.nea.org.uk

 

To be eligible for a free place you must be a Masters or PhD student. If you wish to apply please email [log in to unmask] using the words 'NEA Conference 2013' in the subject line of your email. In no more than 500 words, please outline why you would find it useful to attend and how your research is linked to the themes of the conference. Please also include your contact details. The deadline for entries is Friday 2nd August 2013 at 12 noon. The two successful students will be notified via email.
