Please join us on Tuesday 18th June for an open discussion and demonstrations of work. The event is free and everyone is welcome to join in the discussion and/or bring prototypes and ideas to share! For this session we will be meeting in the Sackler Centre Digital Studio to showcase, discuss, and explore what it means to connect objects to the internet. Some are calling this the Internet of Things, some the Physical Web and others Physical Apps. But what do you think it is? We would love it if you were able to join us for a day, to bring demonstrators, sketches, ideas and thoughts about an internet with things in it. Much of his work confronts modern scientific and technological ideas and ideals, and explores how the use of design can challenge, exploit and communicate these. With work spanning various scales and media, Stevenson-Keating creates designed objects, installations and experiences to examine science and technology's influence on, and links with, society, the economy and philosophy, with an ever present humorous undertone.
