Hi all,

We are a Blackboard Learn 9.1 client, shortly moving to SP12 and are interested in the Bboogle integration building block. At the University of York we have moved to Google Apps for Education and now use GMail for our email, docs, calendar, groups...

Having discovered that Blackboard have stopped officially supporting this building block, our technical people have reviewed the Bboogle documentation on Oscelot and are concerned about the level of access we would need to give the building block to our Google domain. The instructions state that we have to provide an admin account username and password and our OAuth Consumer Key with access to all APIs. This is a very high level of access which would place a great deal of trust in the security and stability of the Bboogle code. I'd really appreciate some feedback on:

Are other institutions using Bboogle who also have Google Apps for Education?

Are you concerned about the level of access that is required for this to work?

By design, Bboogle will create a very large number of groups on our domain. Have anyone found this to be a problem?

Many thanks
David
