Booking is now open for the following free UK Data Service Census Support events:

Understanding and accessing 2011 Census aggregate data

A free, one-day workshop on 4 July 2013, 11am - 4pm, organised by UK Data Service Census Support, which will provide an introduction to the aggregate data outputs from the 2011 UK Census.

UK censuses provide an unparalleled resource of high quality information about a wide range of current and historical demographic and socio-economic characteristics of the population across the UK.

As well as the introduction to the aggregate data outputs, the workshop will include hands-on sessions giving an opportunity to explore the InFuse interface. InFuse is designed to simplify access to and understanding of these data.

The workshop will be of interest to existing and potential academic users of census outputs.

2011 Census update webinar

An hour-long webinar on 25 June 2013 at 3pm which will provide a brief update on the production and availability of the various types of outputs from the 2011 UK Census.

The update will be combined with an introduction to using the InFuse interface to access aggregate data from 2011 and previous censuses using simple and direct topic-based searches rather than the traditional method of searching through the large number of census tables.

There will be a presentation for the first 30 minutes of the webinar, with a further 30 minutes for questions and answers.
