Hi All, Just to let you know that I have updated my web page on London’s Holy Wells and spas which can be found on the following link: http://www.kch42.dial.pipex.com/holywellslond.htm I recently came across a reference to a well, which I had never heard about under the crypt of St Mary’s church in Willesden Green see: http://www.stmarywillesden.org.uk/ This is on the site of an ancient church dedicated to the Black Madonna, which was one of the pilgrimage churches of yore. Unfortunately the well tradition is a little vague from the evidence I received from Father Andrew. Today water, from a high water table, is collected in a receptacle from a vault in the crypt.
