[Positioning for Function  16th and 17th October 2013]




   This two day course is aimed at therapists working with people with complex neuro-disability in a variety of settings including acute, rehabilitation and community locations. The course content will suit those working in rehabilitation or disability management including palliative care.

The course will combine theory with practical workshops and demonstrations from the specialist multidisciplinary team at the RHN, and problem solving plenary groups.

By the end of the course attendees will gain an understanding of:
o   The theory and principles of positioning and postural management for function
o   The selection and use of equipment to enable function
o   The practical application of theory to tasks and activity.
o   How to work effectively with the MDT using a holistic approach to enabling function.
