Changing the Learning Landscape Free Webinars

Following the success of the very popular Changing the Learning Landscape (CLL) CPD workshops we are pleased to announce that the programme for the CLL webinar series is now available and bookings are open online at the links below.

The webinars will look at various issues affecting those involved with learning and teaching in HE and be presented by expert speakers from across the disciplines.

We hope you will join us for one or more and will share widely with colleagues in HE.

Friday 31st May 2-3pm
An introduction to the UK Professional Standards Framework (UKPSF) and advice about applying
Richard Brawn, an expert in Consultancy & Accreditation from the HEA, will discuss the UK Professional Standards Framework (UKPSF). You will be able to ask Richard questions and find out how you can use the UKPSF to enhance teaching and learning.

Monday 3rd June 2-3pm
An introduction to Intellectual Property Rights for those engaging with Open Practice
Alex Fenlon, the HEA’s Operations Manager for Online Learning, is an expert in Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) and will introduce how IPR relates to Open Educational Resources (OERs) and Open Practice (OP). The webinar will cover the basic issues of IPR, focusing specifically on copyright.

Wednesday 5th June 2-3pm
Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) – an insight into developing and teaching on a MOOC.
Jeremy Knox, from the University of Edinburgh, is a researcher on MOOCs and tutor on one of the first MOOCs run by the university in partnership with Coursera.
He will introduce the issues and dilemmas that MOOCs present for teachers and students.

Changing the Learning Landscape (CLL) is a HEFCE-funded programme supporting and encouraging higher and further education institutions to make a step change in how they adopt effective and strategic uses of online technology in teaching and learning.

The programme is a unique partnership between the Leadership Foundation for Higher Education, JISC, the National Union of Students, the Association for Learning Technology and the Higher Education Academy (HEA).
