Dear all By the way, about dating of the letter: in Arundell House, Tisbury, Wiltshire, where it was written and where Kipling's parents lived, Kipling (according to RK Journal) lived for some months in 1894. I was a bit confused because I'd decided 'by default' that it was written in the United States, with its reporters and etc., etc. Yan S> Dear All S> I hope others have noted, as I have, that the letter under reference is clearly a hurriedly dashed off note by one who hasn't the time or the desire to go into any lengthy explanation.
