Madan and Williams argue that excessive questions are a breach of the data protection act and it's instruction that only relevant data be held (I'm sure my colleagues probably have the more appropriate wording ) so you have to be able to justify that relevance which brings you back to the first point (Madan and Williams) There is no limit on the number of questions that can be asked under the EA Over the last 5 years I have seen a definite shift from a large questionnaire towards the smaller role orientated ones on this basis.
